FEROFORM T814 is self / water lubricated bearings widely used in in hydro turbine, gates, butterfly valves and vertical turbine pumps. It is a composite material that is made out of cured phenolic resin matrix that is reinforced with woven synthetic fiber cloth.

Uses in hydro turbine pumps:

• Main Shaft Bearing
• Guide Vane
• Linkage Bushes

Uses in gates:

• Radial
• Fixed Wheel
• Sliding

It has some unique advantages like :

• Very low Water Swell
• High temperature withstanding capability up to 100 to 110 Deg. C
• Good Dry running capability
• Resistant to Chemical
• Very low shaft wear
• Low thermal expansion - means run with very close running clearance give less vibration, increases the life of shaft & bearings & increase efficiency of Pump
• Very Low Co-efficient of Friction - 0.04 to 0.08
